Wellspent is an app that helps you make better choices with your money by allowing you to reflect and organize your purchases in meaningful ways.
Who can use Wellspent?
Anyone looking to find more value, joy and happiness out of the choices they make. For now, Wellspent is only available in Canada, but we plan to expand.
Why did you create Wellspent?
When we started thinking about money in the full context of our lives, the focus shifted from being simply about the money itself to being more about the choices we make with it. These choices carry real and personal expectations about the value, joy and happiness we want in return. So, we created a product that we feel reflects these values and enables others to do the same.
Who is behind Wellspent?
The founding team has a diverse background in tech, start-ups and media, but we all met while working on projects for RBC. It just so happened that RBC supports innovation and beyond banking solutions and started up RBC Ventures Inc. We pitched our idea, everyone loved it, and here we are today.
Why should I use Wellspent?
Wellspent is a tool that helps you reflect on your transactions so that you can make better choices, more aligned to your values, and eliminate regret. It's also the prettiest way to review the things you buy.
Is it safe to connect my bank accounts and credit cards?
Data safety and security is our top priority and we’re committed to providing a high level of security. When you connect an account to Wellspent, we use an account aggregation service that securely encrypts your login credentials and aggregates your transactions so you can view them in the app. We do not store your login credentials.
What banks accounts and credit cards can be connected to Wellspent?
Any debit or credit cards issued by a Canadian financial institution are welcome. To get the full benefits of Wellspent, we suggest you link all the accounts you want to reflect on.
How much does Wellspent cost?
There is no cost. It’s totally free.
How does Wellspent make money?
We don't make any money at the moment - but in the future our aim is learn from your feedback on businesses and help them serve you better. If we decide to do that, we will connect with you first. We want to make sure the value this would create is meaningful to you, and would actually benefit you. We will never use your personal information to sell you ads (the world doesn't need another company doing that).
How do I delete my account?
We'd hate to see you go, but if you want to delete your account, please email us at email@example.com
I'm unable to add my bank account. How come?
If you're outside of Canada, you wont be able to add your bank account. If you're in Canada and still having issues, it could be due to your accessibility settings or some other weird reason. If this is the case, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org
When will the Android app be ready?
It's difficult to give an exact date when the Android app will be ready, but we're working on it. If you'd like to be notified when it's available, provide your email address here
Can I add transactions manually?
At the moment, you can not add transactions manually. However, this feature is on our roadmap.
