Growth Marketer

Fulltime position
Located in Toronto, Canada

As the Growth Marketer at Wellspent you will be leading our customer acquisition efforts across paid advertising, social, SEO, email and more. You love data and use a test and measure approach to all communication and growth initiatives. With a proven track record in consumer products/apps you can translate data insights into actionable growth tactics.

What you'll do:

  • Run marketing campaigns and other growth initiatives end-to-end: you will design experiments, develop campaign strategy, and drive execution of the campaign through to completion
  • Embrace a data-driven culture: we carefully test and measure all of our communications, running dozens of tests at any point in time, and you must champion this ethos in everything you do. You should probably also be a numbers person :)
  • Deeply understand the Wellspent customer lifecycle and identify opportunities for growth and optimization
  • Build an effective demand generation process, implement systems and measure results
  • Work cross-functionally with product, engineering, marketing strategy and creative to meet ambitious growth targets
  • Love getting input from users and always find ways to use marketing channels as a way to also test product/feature hypothesis
  • Investigate and test new channels to communicate with our existing customers
  • Aren’t afraid to fail and love to iterate quickly
  • Love getting input from users and always find ways to create feedback loops in your design strategy

What you’ll need:

  • At least 3+ years in growth or performance marketing
  • Strong knowledge of paid media platforms including display, social, search, affiliate, SEO and email
  • A love of data and can analyze a marketing funnel; you can identify and size different growth opportunities and the various ways to meet them
  • Strong tech marketing stack knowledge and familiarity with online marketing platforms such as Salesforce/Intercom, Facebook and Google
  • Passionate about understanding consumer behaviour and demonstrated the ability to translate findings into meaningful action
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong presentation skills
  • Experience working cross-functionally with creatives, engineers, analysts and product managers
  • Familiarity with visual design applications is a plus (example: Photoshop, Sketch, Illustrator)
  • Past experience at a tech start-up is a plus
